D-FLEX is an innovative materials design company that has invented a new way of manufacturing fishing rods. Their technology has a unique cross section that runs through the fishing rods, giving it power and flexibility. We incorporated this shape straight into the logo to create a distinct brand mark that conveys the idea behind the technology.

During a six month retainer, we encouraged the owner and investors to realise the true value of their brand and how its usage could be included as part of the license agreement with manufacturers. This allows D-FLEX to maintain control over their brand and become known for their technology, in much the same way Gore-Tex has become known for waterproof apparel.

As part of a two-stage business plan, we created the first version of D-FLEX.com that outlines their technology, business model and brand to attract potential licensees. Perabu helped define the structure and layout and co-wrote the copy with the business owner. The web site is built on a modular framework that can easily adapt when D-FLEX is sold to consumers.
